Marvin Andrews

Marvin has been in the golf course industry all of his life.  His dad is a retired golf course superintendent and his brother is a superintendent in Hillsboro, Kansas.  Marvin grew up working and helping out on the golf course.  Both his brother, sister and Marvin were the weekend crew; learning to walk-mow greens and hand-rake traps at an early age.  After working through high school, Marvin attended Colby Community Junior College in Colby, Kansas and got an associate degree in farm and ranch management.  After getting out of college he tried farming for 8 months and then returned to the golf course business and has been there ever since.  Marvin become Assistant Golf Course Superintendent of the Salina Country Club in Salina, Kansas in 1978.  In 1991 he moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico and became Superintendent of the Paradise Hills Golf Course.  In 1996, he took the superintendent position at Isleta Eagle Golf Course, a 27-hole resort course just south of Albuquerque.  The course has hosted the New Mexico Open in 1997-1999 and the Futures Tour in 2001-2004.  Marvin worked at the Isleta Golf Course for ten years until joining the Golf Enviro Team in November of 2006.
