CALRITE CALCIUM

(For Professional Use Only)

Calrite Calcium is produced from high calcium carbonate limestone quarried from underground.  It is a 39% homogenous solid mineral, greens grade calcium supplement.  The particle size, purity, and crystal structure of the mineral provides a unique slow release mechanism to predictably provide continuous release of calcium over time.

Soil Tests should be used to determine use rates and application frequency.

It is generally recommended that the Cation Exchange Capacity (C.E.C.) ( by addition) from the soil test be comprised of 65% to 75%  Calcium.  The C.E.C. is calculated on most soil tests by addition of bases in millequivalents per 100 grams.  Therefore, the C.E.C. (by addition) can be altered through the maintenance of bases.  It has been found through experience that low C.E.C. (by addition) soils, such as sand greens, when maintained at a CEC (by addition) of about 6.0 have outstanding resilience, and resist toxicities from heavy metals, such as aluminum and others.

Recommended application rates are 10#/ 1000 sq. ft..  Continue with annual soil tests to monitor results.

  Expected Normal Range
Calcium (Ca) 39.2% 39.0-39.4%
Calcium Carbonate (CaCO3 98.5% 37.5-98.5%
